Staff and students are celebrating their best ever progress in this year’s GCSE results.

From next summer, pupils will take reformed courses in English language, English literature and maths, marked with numbers from 9 for the top-performing students down to 1 for those who have struggled. These results show the consistently outstanding teaching that our staff provide.
Among the high-achievers was Alice Liddle, 16, from Ashbrooke who picked up eight A* and three A grades.
Students have “outperformed expectations” in their GCSE results at Friends’ School today (August 25).
Overall, 80 per cent of pupils gained at least five GCSE A*-C grades including English and maths with more than a third of all entries were awarded A* or A grades.
