Some 57% of pupils achieved five A*-C grades which included English or Welsh and Maths, which was up from last year’s 54.4%.
“I did better than I thought I was going to and I’m just glad it’s all over now”.
“As a result of these superb results, a very high number of students will be staying on in our excellent sixth form to continue their education at Stanborough”.
Mr Hewitson added: “We are especially pleased with our English results, with 90 per cent of the Year 11 pupils achieving a C or better in this subject”.
The academy says results in French are “particularly pleasing” with 89% of students gaining at least a grade C and 89% making expected progress, with 22% exceeding their target. I’m proudest of my English literature result.
THERE were huge sighs of relief as 15,000 pupils across Essex opened their hard-won exam results.
She said: “I also got five Bs, three As and another A*, but I really worked for my history one and I’m made up.” Dan Clayton had no idea what to expect when he got his results.
She said: “I’m very, very happy with my two A*s, four As and one B”.
He said: “All of our students should feel proud of their achievements”.
