Outstanding individual performances included Xander Veitch, Charles Powell and Cassandra McCormack, who between them achieved twenty-four A* and six A grades.
Cllr Michael Williams, lead member for children’s services and education, said: “These are very pleasing results and I congratulate our pupils for their diligence and hard work”.
In separate sciences, 56 per cent of pupils gained A* and A, which enhances the school’s reputation for its excellence in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects.
Mrs. McCloskey said the school was also delighted with the performance of students who take vocational courses such as Health & Beauty and Construction and “have achieved excellent grades across all their subject areas”.
PUPILS from Hardenhuish School have been celebrating after 60 of them achieved at least five A*/A grades in this year’s GCSE results.
Figures show the number of students gaining five or more A* to C grades, including English and Maths, is up to 64.6 per cent.
“Brighton and Hove schools have worked as a partnership over the last few years, with staff at all levels working together across the city to challenge each other and to share best practice”.
“I wish all our students well for the future”.
