What are your thoughts on Assassin’s Creed VR Experience?

Ubisoft has announced that they are developing a virtual reality experience set in the Assassin’s Creed universe which will be released this year. Locations involved are said to be Malta, Spain and the United Kingdom – so it will be a live-action experience as opposed to something based on the games in the franchise. He confirmed the finished product would be an experience and “not a game”.

Ubisoft announced the experience during a GDC press conference, with Practical Magic president Matthew Lewis insisting that this is an “experience”, and not a game. Donning the iconic white disguise as Aguilar (Callum Lynch in the present) is Michael Fassbender, while Marion Cotillard, Brendan Glesson, Michael K. Williams, Ariane Labed and Jeremy Irons complete the core cast. Dedicated VR experiences based on Star Wars and Assassin’s Creed may help.

It will be interesting to see whether a movie and a virtual reality experience are enough to keep gamers interested in the series until the publisher reveals a new video game.
