Gear Fit 2 Images Leaked: Look at Those Curves

To that tune, Samsung’s launching two new wearables: the Gear Fit 2 smartwatch, and the Gear IconX wireless headphones.

A black, purple and blue color option are seen in the pictures, which suggests Samsung is to launch the Gear Fit 2 in a number of color options, with more than just these options possible at launch. It is likely to flaunt a 1.84-inch Super AMOLED curved display and come integrated with a Global Positioning System chipset onboard, which was missing from the previous model. While the original Gear Fit ran on a custom OS developed by Samsung, the new one is likely to run on Tizen OS. The device measured in at 23.4×57.4×11.95 mm (body only) and weighed 27 grams. They’re said to be dust and water resistant, which are important features for an exercise-friendly wearable to have, and they’ll reportedly work as a fitness tracker, too. Also on board was Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low energy) wireless connectivity.

The Wireless Gear IconX earphones are wireless Bluetooth earphones which literally have no wires. Perhaps the Gear Fit 2 is to be a way for Samsung to offer a product for those users as well as keep on selling the Gear S2 to those looking for a full-blown smartwatch experience. The Wireless Gear IconX was listed alongside the Smart Charm which can be considered as a new accessory from Samsung. We’ll know more for sure when Samsung makes an official announcement, which should be sooner rather than later. The brief listing was reported by a Bulgarian site and first picked up by Droid-Life.
