Gears of War 4: All Our New Info
Game developer The Coalition offers up eight minutes of brand new campaign footage for Gears of War 4, which shows off new enemies, weapons, and much more. We’ll have more on the title as it comes.

A new Gears of War 4 gameplay video has taken “Gears” more literally than most, considering that we’re facing robots. These new guys appear to be wearing COG armour, but don’t seem to be entirely human.
This, quite honestly, is the best looking thing I’ve seen for Gears of War 4. The Lancer, of course, is still a mainstay, but since variety is the spice of life, The Coalition has also added a sub-machine gun, an automatic shogun, some sort of railgun type of rifle, and a few other powerful firearms. Although it can often be notoriously subjective in gameplay trailers, graphics look rather eye-watering and framerate is beautifully smooth (60 frames per second at 1080p, according to IGN’s video – we imagine it’s being played on a PC).

Old man Marcus Fenix has a full beard and is calling the shots in this new Gears of War 4 video. It is the first entry in the franchise not to be developed or supervised by Epic Games, who created the series. It will be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere range which means that, regardless of which platform you buy it on, you’ll get access to both versions.
