GeForce GTX Titan X Tested In Windows 10, Results Inside!

The latest update for the Catalyst Driver package of AMD comes a few weeks after the company released its first update in more than six months. The errors are being attributed to Microsoft’s new mandatory update policy for Windows 10, which in turn is colliding with Nvidia’s own driver system, causing users’ systems to exhibit various display problems.

Whilst it may be useful in this specific circumstance, the ability to switch off Windows Update could be bad news for security as it means that potential vulnerabilities in the future may not be automatically patched.

AMD’s newest drivers support Windows 10 and DirectX 12 for all GCN GPUs (HD 7000 and newer). So this Catalyst 15.7.1 is by both nature and numerically a slight update. While now limited only to those GPUs, Nvidia has noted that it is working on bringing that same support for older Geforce GTX 400 and GTX 500 series graphics cards that are based on Fermi GPUs.

KitGuru Says: Looks like Microsoft Windows 10 era has officially begun.

If you have updated to Windows 10 and you have an AMD graphics card, then you will want to download Catalyst 15.7.1 driver today, so that you know there is no chance of any glitches. However, if that doesn’t work for you, there’s another method detailed below which fixes all the driver issues. It improved multiple SLI profiles, including those for Assassin’s Creed Unity, Metro Last Light, and Batman Arkham Knight, and also adds Dx12 support.
