Gen. Allen delivers forceful case for Clinton
In Philadelphia, he took the stage flanked by veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, and warned against “the forces of chaos and darkness”. With Hillary Clinton as our commander-in-chief, the United Sates will continue to be that indispensable, transformational power in the world. He told USA allies if she’s elected, they will not be abandoned, and warned America’s foes would be relentlessly pursued. Voters “must choose hope”, he said in the cadence of a former Marine officer. As he addressed the convention, dozens of military veterans stood behind him on stage.

“If I say do it, they’re going to do it”, Trump explained.
“To our allies and our friends and our partners: We are with you”. ‘We are the greatest country on this planet!’ A few delegates chanted “No more war!”
The endorsement, previewed by campaign officials on Monday and touted by party leaders throughout the week as evidence of Clinton’s national security prowess, was the latest in a sizable line of veteran speakers at the week-long event. “United States of America!” and slamming Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. And to our enemies: We will pursue you as ONLY America can.
‘We trust in her judgement.
Allen, who recently decide to endorse Clinton, said he trusted her as a commander-in-chief, he trusted her judgement and her vision-an important statement for those Americans who doubt her ability to lead the country’s military.
“With her as our commander in chief, our worldwide relations will not be reduced to a business transaction”, Allen said, speaking to Clinton’s foreign policy credentials.
Allen indirectly attacked Trump during a speech at the Democratic National Committee on Thursday, assailing the Republican candidate’s support for waterboarding, for which Trump has regularly spoken in favor. But with Trump calling for America to turn inward and have a smaller military presence around the globe, Democrats are eager to change that perception. “Our armed forces will be stronger”, Allen said.
He said with Clinton as the Commander-in-Chief, America s global relations will not be reduced to a business transaction.
Earlier in the day, Allen told CNN he is politically unaffiliated.
But I also know that with her as our Commander-in-Chief, our worldwide relations will NOT be reduced to a business transaction.

“I … know that our armed forces [under Clinton] will not become an instrument of torture, and they will not be engaged in murder, or carry out other illegal activities”, Allen said.
