On the Republican side, Clooney expressed that Trump (whom he said he met once) and Cruz are making the election a “campaign of fear”.

As the motorcade passed, numerous protesters blew bubbles and waved signs accusing Clinton of being in the pocket of her wealthy contributors, the network reported. Fallon would not comment but said that he would let other make that decision. Not because she’d be the first woman president.
Clinton, in contrast, has much stronger ties to the financial system, including six-figure payments for speeches she gave to several financial institutions in recent years. It’s a model for the nation and that’s what I will do as president.
Gold, whose family founded the 99 Cents Only Stores chain, withdrew the money from a bank, organizers said.
On Saturday afternoon, Mrs Clinton attended another fundraiser at the Beverly Hills home of DreamWorks Animation boss Jeffrey Katzenberg.
Ellen DeGeneres, Jane Fonda and Anna Wintour were among the guests at the Clooney dinner, according to Variety.
Mr. Sanders – who stresses that he is a huge fan of Mr. Clooney – used Friday night’s fundraiser to again draw clear distinctions between himself and Mrs. Clinton.
“A lot of these superdelegates may rethink their position with Hillary Clinton”, the Vermont senator said on CNN. Tickets for the fundraiser started at $33,000 per couple.
Clinton’s campaign defended the fundraisers on Friday by knocking Sanders for not raising money for Democrats, something Sanders has just recently started doing, not near the level Clinton has.
Protests outside Democratic fundraisers are rare in liberal San Francisco, notes the Guardian, where most political energy is directed at rare conservative events in the South Bay. The former secretary of state also spoke to supporters at Los Angeles Southwest College earlier in the day.
He doesn’t think superdelegates should tip the scales for a particular candidate, but they’re helping Clinton rapidly close in on the magic 2,383 total delegates needed to clinch the nomination.
Sanders was the only candidate who declined to speak at the AIPAC event in Washington on March 21.

The Sanders team ran an ad called “27” for the average dollar donation to his campaign.
