Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced their separation on Tuesday night, after TMZ obtained court documents which showed she had filed for divorce from Pitt after a 12-year romance.

As previously reported by Us Weekly, Jolie, 41, filed for divorce from her husband of two years on Monday, September 19, after more than a decade together.
Pitt, 52, responded separately a few hours later, saying the wellbeing of their children is paramount.
“I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time”, he requested.
“Both of their interests have taken them across the world but not together but in different directions”, the insider added. Pitt had denied allegations he was cheating on Aniston but later went public with his relationship with Jolie.
“Brad and I have our issues, but if the characters were even remotely close to our problems we couldn’t have made the film”, she told British newspaper The Telegraph.
“I feel very sorry then”, he said.
“He’s always well-liked by the staff and friendly with them”, an unnamed source told USA publication National Enquirer. “I am concerned for Angie and the children and hopefully I will be seeing them very soon”.
Hollywood entertainment website TMZ, citing a legal filing, said Jolie “was extremely upset” by Pitt’s parenting methods.
While, this was the second marriage for Pitt, who was earlier married to former “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston for five years till 2005. Brad felt it was important for them to live life to the fullest, but as the months passed, Angelina seemed to withdraw, making the children and her work with the United Nations a priority.
“It’s very sad”, actor Voight told Inside Edition.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s split seems to have shaken their fellow celebs as well as fans. Her rep also stated that there will be no further comments made at this time and that Jolie has also asked for complete privacy at this time.
