George Lucas ‘really liked’ ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

As if that wasn’t already enough for your Saturday Star Wars fix, also below is a brand new character poster featuring Oscar Isaac’s (X-Men: Apocalypse) Poe Dameron, the “Black Leader” of that squad of X-Wings we’ve seen battling The First Order in the trailers.

Lucas is one of the very few who have been shown the film ahead of time. “So I said, ‘Okay, I will go my way, and I’ll let them go their way'”.

Christie acknowledges and welcomes the comparison by saying, “Which means she makes a lot of impact, but she’s not at the forefront of the action all the time”.

R2-D2 isn’t sold on software updates. Like the costumes made by the Lawsons and Varnadore, Kuper’s R2-D2 looks identical to the film version, complete with spinning head piece, chirping sounds, changing lights and the sounds of “Star Wars” music.

“The last time I anybody saw me in a Stormtrooper outfit was when we rescued the princess on the Death Star”, Hamill said in a video posted online, which has been viewed more than 800,000 times. “I thought that was pretty cool”.

College philosophy courses based on “Star Wars” are hugely popular with students, he said.

“There is no such thing as working over someone’s shoulder”, he explained. “If so, Mayor Hull is looking for 10 young Jedis and 1 Jedi Master (and a guest) to join him and his family for a private midnight screening of “The Force Awakens”.

“Yeah, they’re original trilogy snobs”, Leah Lawson said with a laugh. Do you feel Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens is going to be awesome? “And although that is still very much the case, I was really hoping this could be a movie that mothers could take their daughters to as well”.

The father who flipped out about it, “What am I going to tell my kid about why she’s in that outfit?”

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen or heard from a fan? “I loved the movie”.

The story takes place 30 years after the events of Return Of The Jed but specific plot details are being kept tightly under wraps.
