George Lucas Says He Hasn’t Used the Internet Since 2000
Nothing has caused more sleepless nights for nerds than the Star Wars: A New Hope Special Edition switcheroo where instead of Han preemptively blowing away Greedo like it’s supposed to be, the bounty hunter shoots first and misses and then Han blasts him into oblivion.

Other painful moments for fans include the reintroduction of a deleted scene from the 1977 film in which Han Solo meets Jabba the Hutt.
George Lucas’ name is nowhere to be found in promotional posters for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens film. You’re born naked, you anything with you when you die and Han shot first. You let them have the first shot. “Because I was thinking mythologically -should he be a cowboy, should he be John Wayne?”.
With every day the movie gets closer, and the rest of us take a step toward finally seeing it. IS the movie really going to be as great as we all hope its going to be?
In a very interesting interview with the Washington Post, Lucas admitted to having “assiduously avoided the Internet since 2000 – no Facebook, no Twitter, no e-mail even”. Let’s catch up with the stars of the “Star Wars” prequels. Few directors have the power to go in and completely change a character 20 years after the original film’s release, but that’s exactly what Lucas did. “They said $1000 a week, and I said no. But I did, I did it for $1000 for a week”, he said. That is right. No matter what George Lucas has to say on the issue.
The new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie opens in New Zealand on December 17.
“I’d love to do another Indiana Jones, and work with Steven again”. And Ford helped shape Solo’s look: “The first [costume] iteration had a large blue Peter Pan collar attached to the shirt, which I resisted”, he says.
You’d nearly feel bad for him, if you didn’t know the guy made $4 billion on the sale of Star Wars and Lucasfilm to Disney alone.

It’s odd to think I’d missed it, but in my defense I was too immature to have even noticed this scene existed. Next up is Villordsutch with Han Solo’s torture scene from The Empire Strikes Back… “So this time I’m going to”.
