Georgia man severely burned in gas station fire after motorcycle tank
The fire was reported at about 8 a.m.at the Chevron gas station on Shallowford and Trickum roads. Cobb County Fire Rescue spokesman Dan Dupree told Patch it wasn’t clear if the motor was running, but added that witnesses said the motorcycle’s radio was blaring at the time.

Firefighters said he received substantial burns to his lower body and he had to be airlifted to an area hospital. “There was a guy at the other pump and he just came, taking off his jacket”.
“He put it on top of him, so he saved him”.
Battalion Chief David Blount of Cobb County Fire Emergency services credited two Good Samaritans, one of whom suffered his own burns, with saving the man’s life.
A Georgia motorcyclist was severely burned while pumping fuel after his fuel tank overflowed & ignited Thurs., fire officers stated.
Investigators said they believe the man was fueling his motorcycle while it was running.

Firefighters warn drivers to always turn off their engines while filling up, and keep an eye on gas pumps set to auto-fill in case they spill.
