Fasting occurs from dawn to dusk and is considered one of the Five Pillars that are the fundamental religious duties of Islam.

At the end of Ramadan, the fast is broken and celebrated during a three-day holiday called Eid. So that said, there can be a one-day error depending on when the new moon is first spotted. Eid al-Fitr is known as sweet Eid.
