Barring injury or unforeseen circumstances, Green is set to feature prominently off the Miami bench this season.

The National Basketball Association announced Friday that it has fined Miami Heat guard Gerald Green $25K for making menacing gun gestures in a preseason game.
The penalty was in response to reactions by Green during his torrid fourth quarter that helped the Heat charge back to a 110-105 victory. The scoring won’t likely be quite as high when the regular-season tips, but if you’re looking for a few points and 3-pointers towards the later rounds on draft day, Green is certainly someone worth considering. After hitting a pair of three-pointers, he mimicked firing a gun with his hands and made a throat-slashing motion.
Among those who played at least half the season, the Heat’s leader in 3-point percentage past year was wing Shawne Williams.
While it’s fun and games when it comes to celebrating athletic achievements, those in the public spotlight have to be aware of their audiences and whether their actions might offend fans or send the wrong message.
