Gerald Green: Hospitalized with illness
Miami Heat reserve guard Gerald Green has been admitted to the hospital, the team announced Wednesday. TMZ’s sources said it took several people to restrain Green, including an unnamed teammate, who helped get Green on a stretcher and into an awaiting ambulance.

While the reason for Green’s hospitalization is not known, TMZ Sports is reporting that witnesses claim the player was acting odd, screaming at the top of his lungs in the lobby of a condo on 11th and Biscayne Boulevard.
The Sun Sentinel’s Ira Winderman reports guard Mario Chalmers was with him when the EMTs arrived.
Bill Duffy, one of Green’s agents, did not respond to a call seeking comment.
Green, 29, was not with the Heat in Tuesday night’s 98-92 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, sitting out with an illness, the team announced.
The nature of Green’s illness is unknown at this point.
Green signed a one-year deal with the Heat for the 2015-16 National Basketball Association season.

He led the Heat in scoring in preseason and averaged 10.3 points on 32.3 percent shooting in the Heat’s first three regular-season games.
