Gerald Green returns to Heat practice, expresses remorse
“I’m just trying to get over this situation”. But I’m ready to move forward. I’m ready to continue with the team’s goals. “I wasn’t with my brothers while they’re battling”, he said.

Gerald Green returned to practice with the Miami Heat Friday, after being hospitalized then suspended for two games by organization. He also was seen bleeding and was reportedly unconscious at one point during the incident. Also, a witness, according to the report, “noticed blood from Mr. Green hands”.
Green called in sick to the team November 3 and missed the game that night against the Atlanta Hawks. Wade spent time after Saturday’s practice meeting briefly with Heat owner Micky Arison, team president Pat Riley and former teammate and current front office executive Alonzo Mourning. And most important, I want to apologize to my fans for not being available for the games that I missed.
“I’m deeply saddened for what happened”. Green later had to be handcuffed because after being combative with rescue workers. “Victim No. 1 stated that he did not wish to pass charges against Mr. Green”. A 911 caller reported he had passed out.
I expect Green to play on Tuesday, but I think it will be close to 20 minutes or less to start as he works his way back. Green’s suspension was for conduct detrimental to the team after an alleged altercation with another man in his condo.
A party familiar with the incident told the Sun Sentinel that Green’s case already has been vetted through the NBA’s protocols. However, he did apologize to everyone for his actions saying it was an “incident he’s ashamed of”.

If the Heat are going to have enough cap space to even be in the running for Durant, they’re likely going to need Hassan Whiteside to either sign for less than $10 million (per year), which is looking more unlikely by the game, or to simply let him walk altogether.
