Berlin police arrested a man on Thursday over the disappearance almost a month ago of a 4-year-old Bosnian boy, and said they found a child’s body in the suspect’s auto.

Authorities have been searching for Bosnian Mohamed Januzi since he disappeared earlier this month.
“The identity of the child as well as the circumstances surrounding the death will be clarified in an autopsy carried out today”, said Berlin police in a statement.
A man burns a candle at the gate of the Berlin Office of Health and Social Affairs (LAGESO) for a killed boy in Berlin, Germany, October 29, 2015.
In the weeks following Mohamed’s disappearance, police analyzed photos and video footage and were also provided with additional information from the suspect’s family.
It is unclear how Mohamed became separated from his mother and siblings. “In the man’s vehicle, a child’s body was found”.
The 32-year-old was turned in by his mother after she recognised him in video released by police, prosecutor Michael von Hagen told reporters.
“According to what the suspect has said so far, (the body) should be that of the missing child”, said von Hagen.

He said the suspect is now being questioned about a possible motive, but so far there is no evidence that the suspect had any xenophobic feelings or had any link to far-right groups.
