Germany coach slams Arsenal over Serge Gnabry treatment

21-year-old Serge Gnabry has taken the Rio Olympics by storm, scoring three times in two games for the Germans.

The Germany U21 worldwide made his debut for Arsenal back in 2012 however, he has since stuggled to establish himself at the Gunners and sent out on loan last season to West Brom.

Hrubesch told sport1.de: “He’s shown what he can do to everybody”.

Gnabry has netted three of the five goals scored by Germany in the tournament so far and his team-mates are full of praise for the Arsenal man.

Arsenal teammate and fellow German global Mesut Ozil also congratulated Gnabry through on Instagram.

Arsene Wenger is known to give promising youngsters regular opportunities in the first team, but even though the Frenchman has acknowledged Gnabry’s tremendous talent and potential, he has not received much backing from the manager in terms of game time.

Hrubesch, who is hoping to guide Germany to a gold medal in Rio, admitted he is annoyed at the lack of faith from Arsenal and feels he has shown the world his ability with performances at the Olympics.
