Germany: Explosion kills one and injures 12 in Ansbach
Herrmann said the man had apparently been denied entry to the Ansbach Open music festival shortly before the explosion, which happened outside a restaurant called Eugens Weinstube. It said the cause of the blast was unknown.

The blast was due to an explosive device, according to the mayor of Ansbach, Card Seidel.
An attack Friday in Munich, which killed nine people, was preliminarily determined not to have been terrorism-related, Bavarian officials said Sunday.
Authorities said the explosion had prompted the evacuation of more than 2000 people from a nearby music festival.
Twelve people were injured in the blast.
“At the beginning I heard rumors as it was a gas explosion, but then suddenly people ran, who said a backpack exploded”.
At least one person has been killed in an explosion at a wine bar in Ansbach, near Nuremberg, Germany in a suspected bomb attack.
Bavaria’s interior ministry has said it is unclear whether the explosion was accidental or intentional.
“If there is an Islamist link or not is purely speculation at this point”, said the spokesman, Michael Schrotberger.
And an ax attack on a train near Wuerzburg last Monday wounded five. Police said that he had planned the attack for a year.
Police stand by the alleged weapon dropped by the attacker on Sunday in Reutlingen.
Hermann said he was anxious “the right to asylum would be undermined” by the events of the past week, which has seen attacks on a train and shopping mall in the southern German state.

The incident comes amid tension following other bloody events in Germany over the past week.
