Germany team back home after Paris terror attacks

At least 129 people have died in the shootings in Paris.

According to CNN’s Jim Bitterman and Steve Almasy, French President Francois Hollande was in attendance before he was evacuated from the stadium at half-time.

“No police officer has been killed in the assault… however, one officer was injured”, the Interior Ministry said.

Meanwhile, Paris Prosecutor Francois Molins said on Saturday morning that the gun-and-bomb attacks took place at six different sites in Paris, adding that “the death toll at the six sites will exceed 120”. One of the targeted restaurants, Le Carillon, is in the same general neighborhood as the Charlie Hebdo offices, as is the Bataclan, among the best-known venues in eastern Paris, near the trendy Oberkampf area known for a vibrant nightlife.

Among the first physicians to respond to the wounded Friday was Patrick Pelloux, an emergency room doctor and former Charlie Hebdo writer who was among the first to enter the offices January 7 to find his friends and colleagues dead.
