It is 12 months to the day since Gerrard named the date of his Anfield departure, and the start of 2016 brings another announcement of sorts.

A career in coaching beckons and he says he will be available for hire immediately.
“I just couldn’t get enough”.
“I was a bit wary about whether to do it because I didn’t want to take any attention away from players or the newness of Klopp”. I’m actually quite excited looking forward to next season.
Gerrard said, “I’m not 100% sure but I think it will probably be my previous year as a player”.
Steven Gerrard is planning a move into coaching when he ends his playing career, most likely later this year, and has hinted at a future with Liverpool.
Kent appears to have impressed during his time at the Sky Blues having made 16 appearances for the League One side, and the report suggests the Reds would like to get a closer look the player, and may fast track him into the first team.
“I hope the big names stay involved”.
“He’s one of the hardest-working people I’ve ever met, he works as a coach 25 hours a day. To sign it there would have had to be a “short, middle and long-term” plan for me at Liverpool rather than just fade into being a squad player”.
“When I come back in November, I have my BT work [as a pundit] but I am basically available for whatever is out there”.
“Everyone in the football world will know I am available and hopefully I will be 75 per cent into my coaching badges”. “If I didn’t have that I would have been at home training alone, so it was great for me to go back in, see everyone and feel that welcome”.
“I’m fine with our goalies and I really trust in John Achterberg because he does a brilliant job here”, Klopp added.
“There wasn’t a game at the weekend for me to be anxious about, preparing for or to get focused on”.
Klopp admitted recently that he was happy to stick with much-maligned Belgian keeper Mignolet and our article recently said the German had gone a little overboard in trying to deflect blame away from the former Sunderland stopper.
“It was a big learning experience for me”.

Some will suggest the Reds need to go into the transfer market this January in order to strengthen, but it is quote clear the Liverpool manager is determined to give the players owned by the club a chance to prove themselves at the highest level. “The club have let me know they are keen for me to come back but there hasn’t been a conversation or an offer as such where they have said, “We want you to do this, we want you to do that”. Put these coaching badges on offer at a younger age. “They say, “When you finish here, that is happening”. They don’t let players like that go. Find roles of them. That is my opinion. Meanwhile, Valencia’s Gary Neville is the only English manager leading a club in any of the four major foreign leagues.
