Get a room! Hillary & Obama’s hug triggers Photoshop contest for the ages
On Thursday, Reuters reported that the party’s fundraising committee for candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives had also been breached, the second such incident after last weekend’s leak of DNC emails. Overall, the Democratic National Convention will finish the week with a higher average audience, which historically has provided no insight on the candidate’s chances of victory in the fall.

Donald Trump pulled off the upset – at least in television popularity.
Ratings data published Friday by Nielsen showed that roughly 30 million Americans watched Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
Former Secretary of State Clinton delivered an upbeat keynote address at the Democratic convention, as she became the first woman to accept the presidential nomination from a major party.
After a convention speech aimed squarely at undercutting Mr Trump, the first female presidential nominee embarks on a bus tour through two Rust Belt battlegrounds, OH and Pennsylvania. Indeed, Trump uncharacteristically inserted himself into the news cycle throughout the Democrats’ week in Philadelphia, on Tuesday asking Russian hackers to find Clinton’s deleted emails and on Wednesday hosting a Reddit AMA that coincided with the third night of Clinton’s Democratic convention.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that every election is important in its own way, but I can’t think of an election that was more important in my lifetime”, Clinton told thousands of supporters in a West Philadelphia arena. “It’s because of the stark choice that is posed to America in this election”. Clinton and her running mate, Tim Kaine, are campaigning in the hotly-contested state of Pennsylvania.
Trump also posted a social media clip mocking Clinton’s husband and former president Bill Clinton for appearing to doze off during her speech.
When it comes to voter intentions, Trump and Clinton are in a statistical dead heat, according to the most recent poll average from RealClearPolitics.
For politicians, the true measure of the speech’s effectiveness will come in about a week, when polls indicate whether or not the convention gave Clinton a bump in popularity. Many of them based outside the United States where there’s much interest and much at stake in this USA election.
“This country, if they choose her, this country will not be in good shape”, Trump told ABC News on Friday.
“We are clear-eyed about what our country is up against”.
“As of tomorrow, we have 100 days to make our case to America”, she said.
Clinton’s speech “was such a contrast with what we saw in Cleveland last week”, Kaine told CNN’s “New Day” Friday, referring to the GOP convention.
He campaigned in another swing state, Colorado, on Friday and was scheduled to visit OH next week.
Meanwhile, viewership for Trump’s acceptance speech was 9 million more than for any other night of the Republican convention.
Speaker after speaker cast Trump as intolerant, inexperienced and unsafe, including the Pakistan-born immigrant father of a Muslim-American soldier killed in Iraq, who held up a copy of the Constitution and insisted that Trump “has sacrificed nothing”.
Hillary Clinton notes the historical importance of her nomination to a major political party.

In her remarks at the DNC on July 28,2016, Hillary Clinton called her opponent Donald Trump “a man you can bait with a tweet” and “not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons”. The Kremlin has denied the accusations.
