Get Hypnotised by Rihanna’s W Magazine Cover!
W editor-in-chief Stefano Tonchi enlisted the help of Terry Jones, founder of British style bible i-D, and creative and fashion director Edward Enninful to art direct the September 2016 issue of the Condé Nast publication with Rihanna as cover girl.

According to W magazine, Rihanna was transformed into a “regal icon in war and peace”.
For her cover beauty, she’s rocking one gold eye, liquid gold “tears” streaming down her face, a red sequin lip and ideal, glowing skin.
When it comes to magazine covers, Rihanna is not afraid to take it to the next level. According to The Business of Fashion, the diamond and ruby-encrusted pieces were so valuable it took five members of the Cartier team to escort them from the United Kingdom to NY.
“Rihanna was very involved”, he said in an interview with W magazine about the photoshoot.
Throughout the shoot, which was photographed by legendary photographer Steven Klein, Rihanna also wears a jacket, corset, and trousers from her Fenty Puma by Rihanna line, as well as customized pieces from Dior and Loewe. So I’ll send her ideas, she’ll bounce them back. It’s not me going, ‘Here you go, Ri.’ It’s 100 percent collaboration. Styled by Edward Enninful, Rihanna is fearless, powerful and in charge.
He adds that many designers offered pieces for the shoot, with Loewe remaking a bustier, Maison Margiela giving a tinfoil-like cape out of tarp fabric and a Dior jacket that looked like a second coat of armour.
