“Get Windows 10” message will soon be extinct

Whereas before users had to specifically click “Ok” to get the installation, GSX now interprets any click on the “X” in the upper right corner as authorization to download Windows 10. In the current version, there are 17 static apps and five Promoted apps pinned to the Start menu.

When Microsoft launched the latest Windows 10 Mobile insider version, build 14342, the company also rolled out a big redesign for the Windows Store.

OneDrive in Windows 8 featured a touch-friendly Windows Store app, included by default, but that disappeared with Windows 10. Not only games, but apps such as the EA Access Vault are also up.

The company plans to support fingerprint scanners in the Anniversary Update for Windows 10 Mobile coming this summer, reported Neowin. Windows 10 free upgrade reminders might become a thing of the past soon, but upgrading your Windows OS is going to fill up your Start menu with annoying promotional apps.

The packaging project has a configuration file that allows Visual Studio to deploy any updates you make to the binaries from editing your desktop app projects directly into the UWP app package. And Microsoft is set to increase the Promoted advertisement tiles in the Start Menu to 10.

When Microsoft introduced Windows 10, a new feature known as Windows Hello was also unveiled.

If you don’t want adverts appearing in your Windows 10 Start menu, here’s how to remove them. Users should simply wait for about 40 minutes and allow the device to finish the install.

This feature is already available on Android and iOS platforms. The company, however, also received backlash over the notion of being forced to upgrade to the new OS, especially from users who chose to stick with their older Windows version for some reason. Now there are five slots for promoted apps available in Windows 10, as you can see in the upper slide picture.

Redmond says that all PCs running Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1, and servers running Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, and Windows Server 2012 will begin getting the monthly updates.
