GfK Poll: Voters increasingly see Sanders as electable
Now it’s up to the voters of SC to decide the state’s contentious Republican presidential primary.

Trump’s lead has withstood his previous violations of conservative orthodoxy. John Kasich continued hugging supporters, while Jeb Bush turned to his mother to help revive his underdog campaign. Diversity will accelerate in weeks ahead for Democrats in SC and in states that follow – a clear advantage for Clinton but one that Sanders has worked assiduously to counter.
Democratic voters are slightly more likely to say that Clinton represents their positions on the issues very or somewhat well than say the same about Sanders, 73 percent to 63 percent.
The New York Times reports the Clinton campaign is working to calm donors anxious about the outcome of the Nevada caucuses. Nine in 10 Democratic registered voters say they think she could win a general election, a 16-point margin over Sanders. Mathematically, the victor of the state would have to win at least some of the congressional districts, so the victor will get more than the outright 29 delegates.
As the undisputed Republican front-runner, Trump was a popular target in the final-hours’ scramble for votes. Less than a week after the SC primary, the Nevada GOP caucus will take place on Tuesday, February 23.
“I have to tell you, I will do what I can as president”, she said. He’s honest. He is modest. He’s been on the campaign trail stumping for Trump. He went higher up by calling out the pope, who weighed in on trump’s plans to build a wall at the Mexican border.
“Bernie, where have you been?” said Dolores Huerta, a civil rights advocate, on a conference call with reporters.
“When asked what his criteria would be for deporting illegal immigrants if he is elected president, Sanders replied that it would not be used in dealing with non-violent type crimes”. “It’s wonderful for Mexico”. They give Trump the best marks for competence and decisiveness. “But my own view is that our policy as a nation – what I believe – is that we should unite families, we should not divide families”.
But a failure to top the real estate mogul here could puncture that strategy, though Mr Cruz will still have more than enough money to run a long campaign.
Trump took New Hampshire after Cruz won Iowa.
“It is easy to say Make America Great Again”, he said. “On Saturday send Donald Trump and his NY values back to Manhattan”.
This time, Ms. Clinton, armed with more money and numerous state’s political operatives, started early, visiting Nevada a year ago and pitching particularly to the state’s burgeoning Hispanic population by promising to go even further than Mr. Obama in providing a path to lawful residency for the huge number of Hispanics unlawfully in the United States. Cruz’s team acknowledged the photo was manufactured using a computer program.
Donors, who poured millions into his campaign and super PAC, have stopped giving – one refusing a direct request to raise $1 million this week. In a television ad broadcast across the state, he spoke of his parents’ deaths at the hands of a drunk driver. You remember Iowa, of course, where he told voters Ben Carson was dropping out of the race and lied that the news came from CNN.

“For some reason people feel safe in telling me stuff”, Kasich said. He hosts a nightly political talk show called “Ralston Live” on the state’s PBS affiliates and writes a morning email that is seen as the state’s most influential politics newsletter. SC holds open primaries, meaning registered voters do not have to declare a party beforehand and can cast a ballot in whichever primary they choose.
