His time at Shanghai was disrupted by injuries but he still managed to score 13 goals in 17 league appearances.
The iconic Ghanaian skipper, who signed for Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG from Al Ain, is expected to replace Senegalese Moussa Sow.
Arabian Gulf League (AGL) champions Al Ahli have strengthened their attack with the shock acquisition of former Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan.
Al Ahli of Dubai loan signing, Asamoah Gyan has said the idea and fans’ expectation for him to deliver is a challenge he gladly accepts.
Lately, Football League Championship team Reading FC is said to be interested in Gyan and reports said that he is already in Berkshire for a medical with the squad.
Gyan added that “Reading’s demands were disrespectful so he walked away”, saying “I did not fail the medical”.
