‘Ghostbusters’ Animated Movie Snares ‘Clash of Clans’ Commercial Director
But that’s not stopping Sony Pictures from moving full speed ahead with more Ghostbusters entertainment.

Not content with its upcoming all-female revival, the studio had been quietly developing a Ghostbusters animated movie via its Sony Pictures Animation, and that project has taken one step closer to reality.
The animated feature is part of Sony’s plan to turn the long dormant comedy series into a tent pole franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
These commercials annoy me to no end, mostly because I don’t care at all about this game.
About that “no writer yet” bit: it’s also not entirely clear as to whether the animated movie, like The Real Ghostbusters before it, will be a continuation of the adventures of the Ghostbusters featured in the live-action films or will follow a new crew entirely. Last October, we reported that an animated movie was in the works as well with Ivan Reitman producing.
With a director attached, it looks like the animated Ghostbusters are making their way back – and yes, they still ain’t afraid of no ghosts. He’s come to prominence for directing the assorted Clash Of Clans commercials that have been attracting acclaim in recent times.

Fun fact: He also worked in the creature department on Star Wars: Attack of the Clones in his native Australia. It would really need to do something different in order to stand out, but we don’t know any of the story details yet, so we’ll just have to be patient for now.
