Mark Caplan, senior vice president at Sony Pictures Consumer Products said in January that there would be a “full-fledged” Ghostbusters game coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It looks like an old-fashioned movie tie-in, in that its release is timed with the movie (July 12, three days ahead of the movie on July 15).
On consoles, Ghostbusters is a third-person action role-playing game flawless for co-operative play with up to four players locally.
The first trailer was released on USA Today, giving us a glimpse at what’s in store. It features asynchronous co-op and proton pack crafting.
That game was developed by studio Terminal Reality, who incidentally had a hand in The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct also made in partnership with Activision.
