Giancarlo Esposito-Narrated Film to Open Rio Olympics on NBC (Exclusive Preview)

This year, for the first time, USA service members worldwide will have access to streaming NBC Olympics live coverage of the 2016 Rio Olympics from their desktop and personal devices.

As most of you know, the 2016 Olympics are kicking off this weekend and things are about to heat up in Rio. Those will be accompanied by coverage throughout the day, anchored by Bob Costas, Ryan Seacrest, and other familiar NBC faces.

Another complicating factor could be that many events will be broadcast live. Check NBC’s full schedule in your area for the most up-to-date information.

FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM: As previously announced, NBC Olympics, Facebook and Instagram are partnering to bring fans together with unique content surrounding the Games of the XXXI Olympiad from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, that will serve the platforms’ US audiences and will fuel buzz around NBC Olympics’ 6,755 hours of programming. From the August 5 opening ceremony to the closing celebration on August 21, there will be 6,755 hours of elite athletics that you could watch if you want to medal in livestreaming. With this grouping, Brazil is nearly certain to make it out of the initial group play and compete in the men’s quarterfinals on August 13th. It will have 15 days of coverage from August 6 through August 20, and on 10 of those days it will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Those will include basketball, soccer, track & field, archery, boxing, cycling, fencing, field hockey, judo, open water swimming, rugby, shooting, soccer, synchronized swimming, table tennis, weightlifting, wrestling, and more. Coverage runs from 8 a.m.to midnight most days. It also has two temporarily channels devoted exclusively to soccer and basketball, plus one for events recorded in a higher-quality format known as 4K – though you’ll need a 4K TV for that. USA Network, 4 p.m. In Spanish, the Olympics are on Telemundo and NBC Universo.
