Giancarlo Stanton blasts way to All-Star Home Run Derby victory
N.L. manager Terry Collins has Cubs second baseman Zobrist leading off, followed by Washington right fielder Harper, Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant, San Diego’s Wil Myers at designated hitter, Giants catcher Buster Posey, Cubs first baseman Rizzo, Miami center fielder Marcell Ozuna, Colorado left fielder Carlos Gonzalez and Cubs shortstop Addison Russell.

The seven Cubs All-star selections should propel the 2016 All-Star game to have great television rating as most Chicagoans will be eagerly waiting the game.
The Chicago Cubs’ Ben Zobrist flied out to center on the second pitch of the game from the Chicago White Sox’s Chris Sale.
“Obviously, the first All-Star Game is pretty special, but being here in front of what’s my second home – I know a lot of people here – it really felt special”, Bryant said. “I said, ‘No, Dad, I’m going to take the first pitch”.
Blue Jays right-hander Aaron Sanchez allowed two hits, a walk and a run in one inning of work in his first appearance at an all-star game. Players wore jerseys in the vintage Padres mustard-and-mud style for Monday’s Home Run Derby.
“I think a lot of us were looking first pitch”, said Bryant, who played college ball for the University of San Diego. “Usually any time I do something in a game that’s good I don’t really notice it just because I’m lost in my own little world”.
Colbert: “Hey, do you guys want to be on my show?”
Bryant is undoubtedly one of the best young players in all of baseball, and he is showing it off on a national stage.
The Cubs aren’t the only team boasting multiple All-Stars. “It’s one of my favorite places to play”.
The All-Star Game returned to San Diego for the first time since 1992 at Jack Murphy Stadium.

Bryant added some more color to the All-Star Game in a more literal fashion as well: He changed his cleats three times in four innings, showing off a different shade of shoe each time. He did it for Adidas, which sold each eye-catching shoe online while Bryant was wearing them. That served Cueto well last fall, when he pitched a two-hitter for host Kansas City in Game 2 for a 2-0 lead of New York Mets, who never recovered.
