The owners of the display, Big AZ Promotions, told the news station that they drove around frantically for almost an hour trying to keep up with it.

“We showed up and it wasn’t there and we spent the last 40 minutes driving around looking for it”, he said.

Earlier this morning, a 25-foot tall, 300-pound inflatable pumpkin broke free of its chains and stormed through Peoria streets, causing chaos and destruction (traffic) in its terrifying wake. Officials said strong winds were to blame for the pumpkin getting loose.

As the pumpkin blew down the street, it took out streetlights but didn’t injure anyone.
