Giants hire Ben McAdoo to replace Coughlin
This would be McAdoo’s first head coaching job. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports was the first analyst to speculate on the 24-48 hour window. The Giants interviewed Gase and were very impressed with what they saw from him. “Set for the ultimate promotion tomorrow”. The Eagles brass is down to Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson and former Giants coach Tom Coughlin as the only remaining external candidates that they have acknowledged interviewing. At 69-years-old, Coughlin would likely be nothing more than a short-term filler until the Eagles could find a younger coach.

They had also planned to interview former Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson on Thursday before he took the Cleveland Browns head coaching job instead on Wednesday.
McAdoo, 38, served as the offensive coordinator for two seasons under Tom Coughlin, who stepped down last week after 12 seasons as the head coach.
In 2013, the year before McAdoo arrived, the Giants offense ranked 28th in the National Football League in yards per game. Last season, Manning posted a career-high in passing touchdowns (35) and quarterback rating (93.6). “I think he has some good qualities”. “I figured him or Spagz would have been a great pick”. He loves it. He loves thinking of concepts and plays, and what’s going to work, and talking about it, and going over scenarios and situations.
The team’s offensive coordinator has been a strong candidate throughout the process and was impressive in his interview.

There were a lot of names tied to the job, seeing as it is indeed the Giants, one of the more notable franchises in the NFL.
