Giants Lose Game, Belt
-Giants starter Tim Hudson threw a bullpen session Friday that well enough that he’s apparently good to go for the start Sunday in the series finale against the Diamondbacks.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Rubby De La Rosa pitched into the sixth inning to outduel Madison Bumgarner, and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Francisco Giants 2-0 on Friday night.
Arizona Diamondbacks’ Paul Goldschmidt, left, scores from third…
Bumgarner has not only been an essential pitcher to the Giants this season, but he’s been an important aspect of the batting rotation as well.
Arizona Diamondbacks’ Paul Goldschmidt single against the San Francisco Giants during the first inning of a baseball game on Saturday, September 19, 2015, in San Francisco. The Diamondbacks have lost five of their last seven when scoring three or less runs.
The Giants will continue to evaluate Belt, who sustained a concussion past year when Marco Scutaro accidentally hit him with a throw July 19. He allowed a leadoff homer to 1B Wil Myers and ended up needing 37 pitches to get out of the inning. For the most part, everything feels close to normal. I mean, when they pass all the tests and clear those, you can only assume they’re good to play.
Arizona center fielder A.J. Pollock denies Jarrett Parker, pinch… The Diamondbacks have won four of their last five games against the defending World Series champs and five straight at AT&T Park.
Even with the loss ending that streak, Bumgarner still hasn’t allowed more than two runs in a start at home in his past eight outings. He went hitless in three at-bats as the Giants got just one hit.
In the wake of a second consecutive shutout loss Saturday, it might be time for the Giants to focus on 2016.
Arizona pitchers have now thrown 30 consecutive scoreless innings at AT&T Park. “(Adrianza) has done a nice job, playing some great defense, providing some offense. “His pitch counts have been so good. He’s just keeping guys off balance”. Needless to say, Bumgarner is a major asset to San Francisco’s starting lineup.
“There’s no rhyme or reason”, Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. “They’ve done a number on us”. “He gives a nice little target – I’ve seen video of him”.
The Giants did load the bases against De La Rosa in the sixth but did so without a hit – a hit batter, a walk and, with first base open, an intentional walk to Posey giving the Giants a chance. Crawford was breaking to cover second when Inciarte hit a ball back to his right.
Peralta, Chris Owings and Jarrod Saltalamacchia also drove in runs for Arizona.
Before the 2015 season is officially in the books, the Arizona Diamondbacks (69-77) will hit the road for one final time to face their NL West opponents. That 15-game stretch begins with Leake’s start Saturday.
Madison Bumgarner has pitched 205 innings, four complete games, two shutouts, 219 strikeouts and posted a 2.91 ERA for 18 wins this season.
Diamondbacks: Peralta twisted his ankle rounding the bases early in the game but isn’t expected to miss any time. His head collided with a Reds player Tuesday against Cincinnati, and he was pulled after eight innings Friday night for “lack of focus”, Bochy said.

“I wish I could explain it. I’m buffaloed”, Bochy said.
