Giants must make do without Odell Beckham Jr. against Vikings
The news isn’t as optimistic for the Giants, who will be without receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham will serve his one-game suspension by sitting out the game.

The Minnesota Vikings (9-5) are still working on securing their own playoff berth (NFL playoff picture by NFL.com) and could still take the NFC North crown with victories over the New York Giants (7-7) this week and the Packers next week. In the receiving end, Jerrick McKinnon had 76 yards and one touchdown in four receptions while Stefon Diggs added 55 yards and two touchdowns in three receptions. Beckham earned the suspension after drawing three personal foul penalties, including one for a diving helmet-to-helmet hit on Panthers cornerback Josh Norman during the Giants loss to the Panthers last week. “We’ll have to make plays, but we’ve got guys who can do that”.
The Minnesota Vikings (9-5) are coming from a 38-17 win over the Chicago Bears. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater threw for 231 yards and four touchdowns in 17 of 20 passes. It’ll be hard for the Giants to keep pace with a motivated Vikings team that is getting healthier. Defensively, the Giants yield 308.4 yards in passing and 110.2 yards in rushing.
Peterson, Minnesota’s lone Pro Bowl pick, has a nine-yard lead on Tampa Bay’s Doug Martin for the National Football League rushing title and is confident he’ll play after being forced out for part of last week’s game with a sprained left ankle.
The Minnesota defense could have safety Harrison Smith (knee/hamstring), linebacker Anthony Barr (knee) and defensive tackle Linval Joseph (foot) back.
The Vikings have struggled in prime time this season but they will finally look good tonight against an over matched Giants team that is missing its best player.
