Giants’ Victor Cruz has a very important meeting with doctors next week
Cruz underwent a PRP injection last week to help speed the healing in his calf. So that’s the way I want to approach every week.

The Giants won’t have wide receiver Victor Cruz in the lineup against the 49ers on Sunday night and they should have a better idea of when he’ll be able to make his first appearance of the 2015 season next week. Still, the receiver remains out because of a lingering left calf injury, and there’s no timetable for his return, though he characterized his status as “day to day”.
The calf injury sidelined Cruz for more than a month.
It’s been a grueling rehab process since that night when he collapsed in the end zone with a devastating knee injury that left him in tears. But emotionally, it’s something that set me back from being out there, and that’s tough. “It’s still tough for me, I’m still battling it every day”. And if that irony weren’t enough, Cruz is presently looking ahead to Big Blue’s Week 6 game against those very same Eagles as a potential return date. “As I was watching, it put a smile on my face. It really meant a lot for him to do that … more than he even knows”.
Cruz said he’s also continued to work on his right knee – which he seriously injured in Week 6 of last season against the Eagles – building strength around the joint as he simultaneously rehabs from the calf strain. “I’m thoroughly convinced at some point throughout this year I’ll be on that field playing at a high level and making some plays to help my team win”, Cruz said. “We’ll see how it goes”, Cruz said.

“All you can do is stay positive”. But Cruz’s main focus is getting back on the field. “We’re sad about it, but we all can’t wait until he gets back out there”.
