Zlatan Ibrahimovic marked his competitive home debut with a brace as Paul Pogba’s second Manchester United debut ended in a 2-0 Premier League win over Southampton on Friday.

While Pogba grabbed the spotlight on his United return, it was Ibrahimovic who made the difference with two powerful finishes and Mourinho hailed the 34-year-old’s impact.
He told told Sky Sports 1: “If the team does good the individual does good always”.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Pogba reflected on his second Red Devils debut with satisfaction and predicted a successful season ahead. His big personality and big ego is absolutely flawless for a big club like United.
“I played with many big stars”.
“I played four years in Italy, if he’d come two years after I’d left [United], maybe I wouldn’t have come, I would have stayed at Juve”. The way he holds the ball, the way he’s a target man and gives stability to the team, I think he was very good again.
“First ball, I lost it, but got used to it”, Pogba said. “I want to win games but I want to do it in an attractive manner”.
