But shockingly, he suddenly reached round her, picking her up off the ground.
Sure enough, the attacker did release Gigi and scurried away. “Thank you all so much for ur support”, she tweeted, adding, “Thanked my boxing coach today”. She elbowed the man in front of her supporters.

The story was first picked up by United Kingdom tabloid The Sun, but with a grossly sexist headline: “NOT MODEL BEHAVIOR: Gigi Hadid aggressively lashes out and ELBOWS fan in the FACE after he tries to pick her up”.
Here’s a little lesson for anybody out there who might be planning on messing with Gigi Hadid: She’s small, but she’s mighty.

The supermodel was in Milan, Italy for its famous fashion week recently and ran into a spot of trouble – namely a man who decided it would be totally OK to grab her without her permission.
“I’m a HUMAN BEING and had EVERY RIGHT to defend myself”, Hadid emphasized. How dare that idiot think he has a right to man handle a complete stranger.
After actor Ansel Elgort asked the model, “where was Zayn at?”, referring to the whereabouts of her boyfriend Zayn Malik, Hadid replied: “that guy should prob take some time away from icing his jaw tonight to count his lucky stars that Z wasn’t there”.
Thank goodness Gigi was okay after the shocking incident.
In the video taken of the incident Gigi can be seen stopping to take photos with fans while heading to a waiting vehicle, where the prankster appears to be lingering.
That could have gone horribly differently had the “prankster” been someone with violent intent.
