“We have an unbelievably talented cast, and with Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino’s rich writing and character development, the story continues its timeless arc”, he said.

According to DEADLINE, the series will be four, 90-minute movies, with each episode being treated like a new season.
And Lauren Graham revealed just how much work had yet to be done when she shared a message on behalf of the upcoming program when it swept up the New Now Next TV Honoree gong from Logo TV.
Scott Patterson (Luke) and Kelly Bishop (Emily) also signed on for the miniseries, as well as Sean Gunn (Kirk) and Keiko Agena (Lane). TVLine reported the exciting news, with Netflix and Lauren Graham confirming the announcement on Twitter.
So, where will Gilmore Girls pick up?
Talk has been swirling for months that Gilmore Girls would be returning to television as a short-form Netflix series.
Gilmore Girls, which aired between 2000 and 2007, is set in Stars Hollow, a storybook CT town populated by an eclectic mix of dreamers, artists and everyday folk. “Welcome back, girls. An all new season of Gilmore Girls coming to Netflix in 2016”. Original producers Amy Sherman-Palladino, Daniel Palladino and production company Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions are all on board for the revival.
Meanwhile, Netflix kept mum (until today), aside from one comment.
This is the latest United States series to return to the small screen following the likes of Heroes (revived as Heroes Reborn) and The X-Files, with original cast members David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. But there were way too many clues to ignore the obvious, including lots of “Gilmore”-centric activity on the Warner Bros. lot (home of the Stars Hollow set)”.

Graham followed Gilmore Girls with a starring role on another well received, long-running drama-comedy, Parenthood, while Bledel has done mostly features, including The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants franchise.
