Sean Gunn (Kirk) and Keiko Agena (Lane) will also be back.
Netflix hasn’t announced a title or premiere date for the revival, but it sounds like we won’t have too long to wait.
And the following tweet from Lauren Graham confirming the news Lorelai will be back and thus resulting in the shedding of tears from the eyes of fans across the world.
In October, TV Line and The Hollywood Reporter reported that Netflix had reached agreement with Warner Bros. for a limited-series revival that would be made up of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies.
The early ’00s show, by creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, fast became a cult favourite amongst fans thanks to its razor-sharp screenplay, exuberant warmth, and cast of colourful characters. Let’s just hope in Sherman-Palladino’s plans there is a Rory and Jess reunion in there somewhere, or maybe at a Lorelai/Luke wedding?

Stars Hollow is back, and filled with some new characters as well as the OG Gilmore Girls, according to E!
The “Gilmore Girls” are headed back to Stars Hollow.
TVLine reports the four-part series is set to begin filming as soon as the first week of February.

The upcoming series is also said to have each episode set in a different season and will be treated as the proper finale for the original franchise after it ended in season 7. Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband and fellow Gilmore Girls executive producer Daniel Palladino are writing and directing the four films which take place in current day, presumably acknowledging that a lot has changed between when we last saw the Girls in the awful, Palladino-less Season 7.
