‘Gilmore Girls’ revival gets the green light from Netflix
Get your coffee IV ready – a “Gilmore Girls” revival is now officially in the works at Netflix. Also accompanying our stars will be Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Keiko Agena (Lane) and Sean Gunn (Kirk).

The revival gives Sherman-Palladino, who left the series before its final season as a result of a contract dispute, the chance to close a drama whose popularity had much to do with her singular voice. The publication reports that the “Gilmore Girls” miniseries will consist of “four separate 90-minute installments, rather a typical television series”.
Graham tweeted the news Friday evening with a photo of her smiling while holding a jacket that Graham “stole” from the show’s costume department. Sherman Palladino shared in 2009 with Entertainment Weekly that the show didn’t end the way that she had envisioned it (although she hadn’t watched the last season herself).
Pull out those boxsets and reacquaint yourselves with Gilmore Girls, because our favourite mother-daughter duo is coming back to a screen near you. Graham, who played Lorelai Gilmore on the show, was only too eager to spill the news that the long-running CW series will be finding new life on Netflix.
Gilmore Girls is joining the list of past television shows to receive a revival or reboot and, in this case, it’s the former.
It hasn’t been said if Melissa McCarthy will reprise her role as Sookie, but it will pretty hard to imagine the show without Lorelai’s BFF.
After Netflix made the announcement, Lauren Graham also confirmed what she previously could neither confirm nor deny. Original producers Amy Sherman-Palladino, Daniel Palladino and production company Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions are all on board for the revival.
Netflix has yet to announce a title for the reboot, but that’s not the question on anyone’s mind, if we’re being honest.

E! also reported that the series will also feature several new characters including Berta and Alejandro, a Peruvian couple.
