After months of speculation, Britney Spears confirmed on Twitter Tuesday night that she’s busy working on her ninth studio album.
Spears’ eponymous eighth studio album, “Britney Jean”, premiered in late 2013 at No. 4 on Billboard’s 200 chart, marking the lowest-ever sales debut in her career. “We’re having fun right now”, she said.
Britney did not reveal any further new album details, such as a name; a release date; or why she’s sitting next to Madonna in this featured photo. Last week, the Vegas performer tweeted that she had just finished recording one song and used the hashtag “B9”, sending fans into frenzy about the possibility of a new album.
Britney Spears may have been on our radars this year thanks to her kickass Las Vegas show, her breakup with Charlie Ebersol, and her less-than-hit song Pretty Girls with Iggy Azalea, but we should know by now to always expect more from her.
