The highlight of Elife E8 is its 24 megapixel camera which, according to Gionee, can capture photographs in large 120 megapixel. The company on Thursday announced the launch of its next flagship smartphone Gionee Elife E8 priced at Rs 34,999.

“Gionee’s E8 is going to be one of the finest offering to the Indian smartphone market with its cutting edge technology and design element”.
Contributing in the announcement, Gionee India Country CEO and MD Arvind R Vohra said in a statement, “By March, 2016 we expect to assemble all phones that will be sold in India at two outsourced locations in the country”.
Another strong point of the handset is the huge 6-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating. The phone also boasts of a dedicated camera hardware button and a shutter speed of 0.8 secs for the first photo, furthermore the E8 also comes with a 3-Axis optical image stabalisation for balanced exposure and color. “Built to perform like a professional camera for today’s user, the E8 offers every aspect and dimension of a professional camera”, said William Lu, Gionee global president. The device will be powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MTK6795)n SoC and will be paired up with a 3GB of RAM.
The E8 comes with a fingerprint sensor and Hi-fi audio with dual speaker output. Connectivity is well covered with 4G LTE, WiFi Bluetooth, NFC, and USB OTG. The smartphone is backed by a 3,500mAh battery. The smartphone will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box topped with Gionee’s new Amigo OS 3.1.
