Gionee Marathon M5 Lite priced in India at Rs 12,999 launched on Monday.

Gionee has expanded its Marathon series with the launch of M5 Lite. The variant launched in the country comes packed with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. With a price tag of Rs 12,999, the device won’t come cheap, especially for the kind of hardware that it possesses. The handset also functions as a powerbank and is able to supply power to other devices via a reverse charging OTG cable.
Gionee Marathon M5 Lite features a 5 inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS LCD Display protected with Asahi Dragontrail Glass.
In terms of cameras the Gionee Marathon M5 Lite packs an 8MP rear with LED Flash and a 5MP front facing selfie snapper.
It runs Amigo 3.0 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and is a dual-SIM dual standby smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity (Indian bands supported). The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, coupled with 3GB RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. It comes with 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable by up to 128GB via microSD card. One will also find an ambient light sensor, gravity sensor and proximity sensor. It will soon be available via offline stores and Gionee’s official online store.

The connectivity options bundled with the smartphone include Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, and MicroUSB. It measures 143 x 69.9 x 8.5 mm and weighs 183 grams.
