Police were called to the Miller home, in Sydney’s south-west, at around midday after a neighbour reported their concerns for the young girl’s welfare.

Police say they visited a Blue Mountains medical facility on Tuesday evening where they spoke with a 36-year-old woman.
The woman was arrested and charged with murder.
A “gorgeous” little girl has been found dead in the bathtub of her home in Sydney’s southwest while her mother lay in hospital, a neighbour says.
Upon arrival, officers found the toddler’s body and a crime scene has been established. Her death is being treated as suspicious.
Questions are being asked about the family’s background and exactly who was supposed to be caring for the child at the time of her death.
The woman was refused bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court today.

The home had been unusually quiet for a few days while the toddler’s single mother recovered in hospital from a vehicle accident over the weekend, the neighbour said.
