Girl, 5, jumps in pool to save her mother
Allison Anderwald is seen wading into the water with her mother Tracy floating in the middle of the pool. Allison swam over to her, pulled her to the shallow end, and made sure her head was out of the water before running into the house to get help.

A 5-year-old girl in Texas is being hailed a hero after she saved her mother from drowning in their backyard swimming pool, and it was caught on home surveillance video.
Doctors informed her she had suffered a seizure before discharging her on Tuesday.
Allison didn’t have much to say about saving her mom, but a job as a summer lifeguard could be in the works.
Hunt told ABC News that emergency personnel soon took Tracy Anderwald to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Memorial. “Allison was able to do that on her own”.
“It’s wonderful that she even knew what to do”, Anderwald told the Caller-Times. “We lost our dad nearly exactly two years ago, and it was so hard to overcome that”.
As for Tracy and Allison, they’re looking forward to finally leaving the hospital and going home.

“The doctors explained to us that had Tracy been underwater any longer, she probably wouldn’t be with us right now”, Hunt said. “It could have turned out a lot worse that what it was”, adding later, “She’s our little mermaid and my little hero”.
