A five-year-old girl herself with a handgun while playing with the gun at Louisiana home. He rushed to the spot and discovered that his daughter had accidentally shot herself, investigators said.

Detectives said the gun hadn’t been securely stored in the home.
Her father, a disabled war veteran, was in the shower on Saturday morning when he said he heard a gunshot.
“The oldest kid, she told me because they came over to us when all this happened, she’s traumatized, my sister, my sister shot herself”, Ursin explained.
Deputies identified the girl as Haley Moore.
Paramedics took the girl to a hospital, where she later died.
Ursin said Haley Moore was spunky, and full of life. “He did not want them to be ignorant of the fact that they can harm you”.
Meanwhile, the sheriff’s office said the shooting was being investigated.

Neighbors say Eric Moore served in Iraq and is recently divorced.
