CBS DFW reports Katelyn Thornley started sneezing incessantly about a month ago.

The 12-year-old’s parents have been to more than five different doctors but no one is able to explain what’s causing this rare condition.

The only time Katelyn gets a few relief from the constant sneezing is when she is sleeping or listening to calming music. Katelyn Thornley is a seventh grade student whose life should revolve around family and playing the clarinet.

The incessant sneezing is now starting to take its toll.

“It just started in little spurts”. “I am just constantly in pain with my abdomen, and my legs are hurting because I’ve been weak and I can barely eat”.

“I thought it was like, “I’m allergic to something” or didn’t wash out my mouthpiece the right way”, she said.

“Anything you talk to her about that irritates her – you can see it spike”.

“It’s hard to watch”, her father said.

Her sneezing “affliction” came out of nowhere, according to Thornley. Since they don’t even know what is causing her symptoms, there is nothing her parents can do to help her. She wants the sneezing to stop.
