Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, the 30-year-old claimed she forgot simple words for things like “table” while living in the risky property.

Put it on the…’ We couldn’t remember…

On the physical effects she experienced, Coyle added: “It was the chest pains – I felt like I couldn’t breathe”.

Blood tests revealed she’d been exposed to high levels of gas, but mum-of-one Nadine assumed it was through spending too much time in London.

“It started with headaches and then I had a constant feeling of nausea”, she said.

The singer said she had been affected by the deaths of Christi Shepherd, seven, and her brother Bobby, six, killed by a faulty boiler while on a family holiday to Corfu in 2006.

She said the family probably only escaped death because her home was well ventilated and because a gas engineer visited her home on another job and noticed a crack on the boiler by chance. Nadine hopes to bring awareness to the dangers through her experience, encouraging others to fit carbon monoxide alarms in their homes. I thought, ‘Is it London?

Dressed in a simple, yet, relatively chic green knitted top and jeans, Nadine went on to reveal doctors initially thought she was fine when the serious symptoms did not ease. “Is it smog?”‘, I was like, “God, what was I doing?”, and then it was the guy in LA that had seen that it was the boiler that was faulty, there was a crack in it. ‘It was so lucky, ‘ added Nadine. There are people whose machines are giving off really high levels of carbon monoxide and they don’t make it through the night.

“[We were told] immediately, everybody needs to get out, everybody needs to be out the house”.

Nadine is supporting the Carbon Monoxide: Be Alarmed! campaign.

Coyle went on to stress the necessity of carbon monoxide alarms, saying: “These are crucially important – I have three of them now placed in different places”.
