Gisele Bundchen tops Forbes’ 2015 list of highest paid models

All those hours on the runway and in front the camera paid off for Kendall Jenner: At 19 years old, she made Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid models for the first time, with an estimated income of $4 million in 2015. And let us not forget, this is despite the fact that Gisele officially retired from the runway earlier this year.

Bündchen made her final catwalk appearance during Sao Paulo Fashion Week for Colcci, the Brazilian streetwear label she has represented since 2005.

In exchange for her catwalk, Bündchen consistently booked major fashion campaigns for well- known designers, including Chanel, Stuart Weitzman and Louis Vuitton.

British model Cara Delevingne, who has recently stepped off the catwalk and onto the big screen, came in a tied second with fellow Brazilian model Adriana Lima with $9 million.

“Automatically my body tells me if what I do is worth it, and it asked to stop”. She also has a share in a line of jelly sandals.

Jenner’s debut on the list shouldn’t be that surprising considering the model has been seen everywhere lately.

Just ahead of Kendall are Victoria’s Secret runway regulars-Karlie Kloss, Candace Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Lara Stone are estimated to earn $5 million this year, while Estee Lauder’s Latina ambassador, Joan Smalls’ earnings clock in at $5.5 million. “I respect my body, it’s a privilege to be able to stop”. The lingerie mogul has topped the chart since 2002, and out-earned her husband, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, by almost five times, according to Forbes.
